to be irritated with ourselves for our struggle to trust Jesus — our failure to THANK Him for the harrrd, this is pride, not humility. Human-wisdom-dependency, not Jesus-dependency. A humble Christian has compassion on himself when struggling with harrrd circumstances. A proud Christian demands s/he do better in trusting/thanking. A humble Christian accepts himself as a great example of a bad example, and trusts Jesus to make a difference in his life going forward, or not.

So whadda I do when I notice I’m irritated/disappointed with myself? CONFESS. Don’t try harder to believe. CONFESS. Confession is way-better, more honest, than asking Jesus for more faith. Sounds so spiritual to ask for more faith. Pride, not humility. CONFESS. Ahhh.
